This came on the same night as the triskele: [link] and has basically the same story. It popped out at me from nowhere and since this has always been a rather important symbol to me I had to keep it. I don't know what was going on that night and I certainly wasn't aiming for Celtic symbols or symbols of any sort for that matter. I was bored and not trying for anything at all so when something was suddenly there I knew I needed to keep it. Of course, being a triquetra I would have kept it anyway. And it is a pretty color.

A Triquetra is a tripartate symbol composed of three interlocked circles of the same radius, marking the intersection of those circles. While it is commonly used as a representation of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) the symbol predates Christianity and was used by the Celtic and Norse people's, some believe as symbols of a triparate Goddess for the Celts and of Odin for the Norse. Others feel that it represented the triplicities of mind, body and soul and the three domains of earth: earth, sea and sky.
